For two days (October 25 and 26th), The Festival of the Arts Book Fair gathers a diverse group of authors, excited to connect with the larger community and to share their books with readers.
You’ll find a wide range of books from local and visiting writers, including award-winning fiction, nonfiction, poetry, illustrated books for children and books for young adults. Prices start at $5.00.
Among the offerings are Erika Rummel’s historical novel, The Inquisitor’s Niece, which just won the Colorado Publisher’s annual award for “best historical novel.”
We’re thrilled to once again feature the delightful, award-winning Myrtle the Purple Turtle Books. Since our last Festival, Cynthia Reyes and her co-author Lauren Reyes-Grange have published two new titles, Myrtle’s Game and Myrtle Makes a New Friend. Any young child and many adults will enjoy Myrtle’s adventures and find her to be good company.
Sharing the Great Hall with Spirit of the Hills Visual Artists makes spending time at the Book Fair extra fun, as we writers find inspiration in looking at their beautiful art.

This year, it’s even more special, as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Spirit of the Hills, with the theme of “Sharing Across the Arts”.
Please join the authors and artists in the Great Hall at St. Peter’s church, Friday, October 25, 1 – 6 PM, and Saturday, October 26, 10 – 4 PM for great books, gorgeous art, community and conversation. (240 College Street, Cobourg.)
No registration required. Access to the Book Fair, Art Show and Artisan’s Show is FREE.
