Ever dreamed of writing a song? Creating a beautiful picture with textiles? How about learning to bellydance?
It’s all at the Festival of the Arts this Saturday, and each workshop costs only $25.
Book your spot in musician and songwriter David Newland’s workshop.
You don’t have to be able to write or sing music at all! Just as long as you like songs and want to try your hand at writing one, or brush-up on your professional skills. Just bring pen and paper to make notes.
How about bellydancing? Age and ability are no deterrent! Expect to laugh a bit as you try the basic moves while learning ancient techniques for keeping fit and maintaining balance too! Allison Townsend, a very down-to-earth teacher, will guide you. Allison, by the way, also performs at the Festival on Thursday and Friday nights.
Or: Want to create a wall-hanging for yourself or someone else for Christmas? Madeleine Thibault Smith and Jessica Charnock have all the materials ready for you to get started at this gorgeous but surprisingly accessible craft.
See you at the Festival!
