This past weekend, the Best Western in Cobourg was transformed into a vibrant hub of poetry and artistry as we celebrated the “WOW! Words on a Wire” event at the Northumberland Festival of the Arts. The event featured an eclectic mix of poetry readings, video poems, poetry sculptures, and a stunning display of “The Ekphrastic Project,” where poems drew inspiration from the artworks of local Cobourg Art Club members.
The event showcased the talents of renowned local and regional poets including Banoo Zan, Gavin Barrett, Abigail Grimes, and Bruce Kauffman. Each poet brought their unique voice to the stage, creating an immersive experience that blended the lyricism of poetry with the visual impact of art.
