MURDER, Anonymous

You’d think that after over a year of being a key member of NFOTA’s steering committee, Lois J. Gordon would put her feet up and do nothing for a while. But you’d be wrong.

Lois is now prepping for the workshopping of her latest play script at the Citizen’s Forum, Victoria Hall, Cobourg on October 11, 2024, at 7 pm. (Admission by donation)

Workshopping? Workshopping a play provides an opportunity to explore a new script in an intimate venue and get reactions and feedback from the audience and the actors. It gives the playwright an objective view so that the playwright can then rewrite portions of the play, bringing it to a production-ready stage. And for the audience, it’s fun to be part of the process of bringing a new play to the stage.

Lois’s play MURDER, Anonymous revolves around an actual murder that takes place at the Annual Mystery Writers’ Conference being held at Crooked Bay Lodge. It’s the second offering of VOS Theatre’s fun new series that began in September with a reading of Dan Needles’s play Perils of Persephone.

They say that if you want something done, ask a busy person.

Sing it! Say it! Play it!

Did you know that our theme reflects the range of artistic disciplines offered at NFOTA, and was inspired by a song composed for NFOTA by three local musicians and singers, Lynn C. Bilton, Christopher Cameron, and Marie-Lynn Hammond. The trio collaborated and gifted their song , “Spread the Word,  to NFOTA. It was recorded locally at the Northumberland Music Studio, or Studio 29, in Warkworth.”
