CBC’s Still Standing Celebrates Resilient Warkworth March 9

On Wednesday March 9, CBC’s award-winning show Still Standing will feature the village of Warkworth.

Tune in to join host, comedian Jonny Harris, as he explores the past and present of Warkworth, a farming community that has become a centre for the arts and a growing LGBTQ community.

Dimitri and his studio will be part of Northumberland Festival of the Arts, taking place September 16 – October 2, 2022, in locations across Northumberland County, including the lovely village of Warkworth.

    No mention of Janine’s Back Talk Café that’s been there forever ??????

    1. You’re right, Barrie. Over the decades, several business have come and gone from the village but that cafe feels like it’s been there forever. I wonder if it was left out because it’s been up for sale? Glad they mentioned Paul Portelli, though – over the years, he’s done a lot for Warkworth’s arts and businesses.
