Experience Poetry Like Never Before
From 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, immerse yourself in a multi-media poetry performance that transcends the traditional reading format. “WOW! Words on a Wire” features a talented lineup of local and regional poets, including the renowned Banoo Zan, Gavin Barrett, Abigail Grimes, and Bruce Kauffman, who will bring their words to life on stage.
The Ekphrastic Project
In addition to live readings, the event will showcase “The Ekphrastic Project,” a unique collaboration where poetry meets visual art. This series highlights poems inspired by the artworks of members from the Cobourg Art Club, illustrating how visual stimuli can translate into evocative poetic expressions.
After the performance, engage with the poets during a book signing session where you can purchase their published works and have them personally signed. It’s a perfect opportunity to discuss their work and gain insights into the creative process that drives their poetry.
