Northumberland Festival of the Arts wants to give a huge shout-out and thank you to the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund (OCAF), and to the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) for helping to make this festival happen.

MPP Piccini said, “This investment into Northumberland Festival of the Arts will help them conduct amazing events all over our community that, in turn, will provide a platform for our local artists to showcase their work, perform and entertain. Ontario will always support our hardworking artists and those who give them the opportunity to succeed.

All arts festivals constantly struggle with funding. NFOTA believes strongly that all artists should be fairly paid for their work, but equally, we want to make art in all its forms accessible to a wide audience by keeping ticket prices low.

To bridge the gap, we turn to sponsors and government funding. Many people cautioned us that the possibility of getting funding was low—funds were tight and demand was high— but both Ontario Government agencies we approached came through for us!

Thank you! Thank You! Thank You!
