NFOTA 2022 was a Festival to be proud of. We held over 40 events in 10 towns in Northumberland County and paid over 100 local artists in their various fields of work. We launched books, ran workshops and drama nights, held 5 music concerts, partnered with 9 galleriesโฆ the list goes on. A success? No question.
BUT (you knew there was going to be a โbutโ, right?) when we talked to people about these wonderful events, too often they responded with โOh, if only Iโd known…โ
Why? Because we hadnโt spread the word about the Festival far enough or wide enough. Too many people missed out, and thatโs a shame. So, this year we are going to make a concerted effort to connect with more people โ flyers, social media and in person.
Now, while we promise not to bombard you with an overabundance of messages, you can expect to see and hear more about NFOTA in the coming weeks and months as we reach across the County to bring awareness and excitement about this yearโs Festival.
Each week you will receive one short post in your inbox, and we hope youโll help to spread the word by sharing with your friends on Facebook and other social media. Then ask them to share it with their friends, and so on. Encourage your friends and other contacts to sign up for our news blog on the home page at FestivalOfTheArts.ca so posts will come straight to their inbox every week.
Letโs get the word out so no one is left disappointed!
